William Edward Bishop

William Edward Bishop (Punkin), age 78 of Gatesville, Texas passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024.  

Private services will be scheduled by the family at a later date.

William was born on August 20, 1945, to the late Wedith and Corrine Bishop, in Ballinger, Texas. He grew up in Ballinger and Coryell City and lived most of his life in Coryell County. 

William worked many years in the oil field. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and canning food for his family, who he loved dearly. 

William is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lonnie Bishop, Jessie Bishop, and John Bishop; and sisters, Hershel Bishop, Dorothy Bell Bishop, Margaret Bishop, and Sybil Bishop.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Williams; daughter, Kristein Bishop; sons, William Wayne Bishop, Bradley Bishop, and Thomas Wallace; brothers, Junior Bishop and Tommy Bishop; and many grandchildren and friends.
