Tina Artha Hines, age 62, passed away on February 7, 2026, at her home in Gatesville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on February 14, 2026, at Grace Assembly Christian Church of Gatesville. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Scott's Funeral Home.
Born and raised in Gatesville, Tina lived there her entire life, building deep roots in the community and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Tina graduated from Gatesville High School in 1982, where she was a track athlete. She worked faithfully at H.E.B. and later at Hillside Medical Lodge, where she touched many lives through her compassion, dedication, and caring spirit.
Above all, Tina was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her family deeply and passionately. She was known for her strength, kindness, warm heart, and exceptional cooking, which brought family and friends together time and again. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and love, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Tina’s legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Tina was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Johnson; her father, James Moore Sr.; and her cherished son, Dominique Moore, Sr.
She is survived by her significant other, Alonzo Ortega; brothers, James Glenn Moore, Kenny Moore, Benny Moore, and James (J.J.) Moore Jr.; her sister, Dianna Moore; her son, Donche Moore; her daughter, Diamond Washburn; her granddaughters, Taylen, Iydriss, Torrea, Tatiari, Theoreigh, Jordahn, Eunique; and her grandsons, Dominique Jr., MaNaury, and Treyvion. She was a devoted grandmother, lovingly known as “Mimi” by her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.
