Teresa Medina

Teresa Medina, age 77, of Gatesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Visitation with her family will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Teresa was born October 11, 1948, in Lampasas, Texas, to the late Mencho and Maria Garza Medina. She grew up and attended school in Lampasas. Teresa spent most of her adult life as a devoted homemaker, lovingly raising her four children.

She enjoyed dancing, playing video games, and watching old western movies. Teresa especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly her world. A fearless and determined woman, Teresa was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in the early 1980s, but after many treatments and much perseverance, she successfully overcame the disease and remained cancer free.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Anita Johnson, Susan Medina, and Mary Ashley; her brother, Freddie Medina; and her nephew, Jose Gamez.

She is survived by her children, Manny Hernandez and wife Ellen, Danny Hesbrook and wife Belinda, Renee Hesbrook, and Donny Hesbrook and wife Maria; sisters, Alice Reza, Juanita Zarate and husband Ernest, and Lenora Gutierrez; brothers, Joe Medina and wife Virginia, Rudy Medina and wife Lucy, and Robert Medina and wife Mickey; grandchildren, Brittny Messer and husband Andrew, Adreanna Gutierrez and husband Orlando, Amos Hesbrook, Martin Hesbrook, Trinity Hesbrook, Averee Rodgers, Calliope Hesbrook, and Nysaa Hesbrook; great-grandchildren, Violet Messer, Zailey Gutierrez, Violeta Gutierrez, and Nevaeh Hesbrook; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
