Sybille Morris

Sybille Morris, age 51 of Gatesville, was received by God in His loving arms on Friday, January 3, 2020.

There are no memorial services scheduled at this time.

Sybille was born on January 29, 1968 in Germany and raised in Pirmasens, Germany. Sybille’s mothers name was Crystal and she had four children, Werener, Adam, Biggi and Sybille. She attended school at Hauptschule Horeb. Sybille met a man named Michael Robert Morris an American soldier that lived on base in the barracks in the area. They had a good time together, but went their separate ways after that night. Some time had passed and Sybille was trying to find him. She called the base and asked for Michael Morris until she finally found him.  Sometime later they got married and on September 26, 1990, they had a little girl named Angelina Morris. They moved to the United States when Michael was deployed to the Fort Polk, Louisiana army base. On November 16, 1993 they had another little girl named Shirley Jaquline Morris. Michael left the army but continued as a military contractor for the army. From Louisiana they moved around to different states till they settled down in 2005 in Gatesville, Texas. Sybille started going to church with the help of her daughter Angelina and found her faith and was saved. Through the years Sybille and Michael grew apart and divorced. At the time Sybille lived by herself in an apartment. She would read her Bible daily and she was on several online religious groups. On one of her groups, she met John Dawson and fell in love with him. He lived in Ohio at the time and he would entertain the children at Saint Jude’s Medical Hospital with songs. She decided that she wanted to move there with him and be a part of what he does. In 2017, they moved back to Gatesville to be close to family. Sybille was truly a blessing to know. She will be remembered for her kindness, kid-like spirit, warm embrace and her beautiful smile.  Sybille was a faithful Daughter of God who was known to take calls all hours of the day and night for prayer requests.

She leaves behind her daughters, Angelina Deans and wife, Kelli Deans of Gatesville, Shirley Morris and her fiancé, Johnny Rodriguez of Gatesville, one granddaughter, Hazel and one grandson, Zachary and her loving fiancé, John "Bo" Dawson of Gatesville.  In addition to her family, she leaves behind hundreds of friends around the world.
