Sara Lee Perryman

Sara Lee Perryman, age 83 of the Harman community, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Copperas Cove. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, at Pidcoke Cemetery. After the service, family and friends are invited to the Harman School House in the Harman community to celebrate Sara’s life.

Sara Lee Survant Perryman was born in Woodsboro, Texas on July 7, 1942, to the late Ervin Pittman Survant, Jr. and Margaret Irvine Survant. Sara Lee graduated in 1960 from Copperas Cove High School before attending Austin Business School where she lived at the YMCA. In her younger years, Sara Lee worked for the telephone company in Killeen and later went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where she made many lifelong friends. On July 13, 1968, Sara married Homer Perryman and they spent their life together on his family place, in the Harman community, until Homer passed away on October 28, 2019. Together Homer and Sara Lee had one child, Maggie Wilson. Sara Lee loved and cherished her family and friends. She was a grandmother to all of her nieces and nephews. Sara Lee was a Master Gardner, enjoyed painting and was active in Pidcoke Methodist Church.

Sara Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin Survant and Margaret Harper; stepfather, Leamon Harper; husband, Homer Perryman; and brothers, Jimmy Survant and Bob Survant.

She is survived by her daughter, Maggie Wilson and husband, Brooks; grandson, Max Bartlett; brother, Ervin Survant and wife, Marie; and sisters Ellen Good, Nancy Mumby and husband, Roger and Linda Guthrie and husband, Chuck.
