Russell Pruett, age 59 of the Pearl community, passed away on September 12, 2021 at his home.
Celebration of life services will be held in the near future at the Pearl Community Fellowship Church.
Russell was born on July 5, 1962, in Waxahachie, to William Glenn Pruett and Kay Herrman Pruett. Russell spent his early years growing up in the Dallas metroplex area before the family moved to Gatesville in 1986. Russell worked as a carpenter, “Jack-of-All-Trades” and also helped in the Pruett family's antique business. He loved sports, all kinds of music, animals, working with plants and selling and visiting with people at markets. Russell loved the Pearl Community and enjoyed his time spent working at the Pearl Bluegrass Festival. He was also a member of the Pearl Community Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jake; father Glenn; and grandparents, Glenn and Laveail Herrman.
Russell is survived by his beloved dog, Pearl; wife, Michelle Jones; daughter, Sydnee Lee Browder; son, Philip Jones; mother, Kay Herrman Pruett; aunt and uncle, Glennyth and Ronald Medart; and many other friends and relatives; he also had great affection for his friend, Linda Ray.
