Rudy Moore

Rudy Moore, age 57 of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020 in Temple.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Cheyenne Kizer officiating.  Burial will follow at Davidson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Rudy was born on Feb. 15, 1962 in Gatesville, to the late Edgar B. and Sandra Beck Moore.  He grew up in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1980.  He married Deedra Tippit on June 28, 1985. Rudy was a Christian and a member of Hay Valley Baptist Church.  He never met a stranger anywhere he went. He also thought of a lot of his beloved dog, Cujo. He loved horses, team roping and telling wild stories about working cattle in the army camp.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Deedra Moore; son, Wacey Moore and wife, Haley; one precious granddaughter, Mabrey Moore; sisters, Katy Smith and husband, Mike, Tammy Barnett and husband Lynn; mother-in-law, Ann Tippit; sister-in- laws, Marsha Cowart and husband, Billy Jack, Angie Holley; brother -in- law, Dale Tippit and wife, Alice; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials have been designated to Pecan Grove Baptist Church, Hay Valley Baptist Church, Turnersville Baptist Church or Davidson Cemetery Association.
