Robert Widdows, Jr.

Robert Wayne Widdows, Jr. age 59 of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Temple.

Robert was born on February 17, 1964 in Killeen.  He was a Texas native and had lived many years in Denver, Colorado before returning home to Texas in 2019.  He enjoyed fishing at Lake Belton, NASCAR, and the Colorado Avalanche Hockey Team and upon moving to Gatesville enjoyed Park Street Hamburgers with a large Coke. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Widdows, Sr.; stepfather, David D. Hardcastle; and a nephew, Micah D. Hardcastle.

Robert is survived by his mother, Patricia L. Hardcastle; stepmother, Barbara Brittain Hardcastle; brothers, James (Michael) Widdows and wife, Valerie Jackson, John Hardcastle and wife, Lisa, Steve Hardcastle and wife, Gwendy; sister, Caitlin Hardcastle; nieces and nephews, Anna Phares Widdows, Michael Andrew Jackson Widdows, Holly Hardcastle, Jonathan Hardcastle, Seth Hardcastle and wife, Ashley, Addy Hardcastle, Anna Jo Hardcastle, Asa Hardcastle, Raina Hardcastle, Lyndsey Hardcastle, Jaxson Hardcastle, Lorelai Hardcastle, Rylan Hardcastle; great nephews and niece, Wilder, Kohen, and Andie Kate Hardcastle; aunt, Jenna Hardcastle Palmer and husband, Robert; and his cousins, Karen and Shay Todaro.
