Richard Wayne Warren

Richard Wayne “Pops” Warren, born September 28, 1942, passed away September 14, 2026. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25 at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Richard was a proud veteran, a lifelong resident of Gatesville, and a familiar face around Oglesby. He spent his life working the land, raising cattle, farming and for three decades as a trusted mechanic. He loved golfing and fishing, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren. Pops had a soft spot for his grandchildren; to him, they could do no wrong.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Barton Warren.

Richard is survived by his sons, Richard Heath Warren, and Colby Clay Warren; daughter-in-law, Janette Warren; grandchildren, Dustin Warren, Mia Warren, and Victor Cortez; and great granddaughter, Jade Warren.
