Rebekah Barnes

Rebekah Barnes, age 73 of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2024.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.

 Rebekah Buchmann Barnes was born on February 1, 1951, to the late Deryl and Margaret Wright in Coleman, Texas. She attended school in Gatesville and was a member of the class of 1969.  Rebekah attended the nursing program at Coryell Memorial Hospital obtaining a License in Vocational Nursing (LVN). She worked as an LVN throughout her career at the Rotunda, Hillside Medical Lodge and the Texas Department of Corrections. Rebekah was known to be a hard worker and in her spare time she liked to draw and enjoyed watching television.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Barnes; her son, Kenneth Craft; and her brothers, Danny Wright and Russell Wright. 

 Rebekah is survived by her children, Kathleen Main; Kristi Vineyard, and husband Scott; Kimberely Vasterling, and husband, Les; and grandchildren, Ty Doyle, Travis Taylor, Cheyenne Wasden, and husband Adam.
