Raymond F. Hall

Raymond Hall, age 90, of Evant, Texas passed away on August 15, 2022.

Raymond was born in Brownwood, Texas on June 30, 1932 to Noah and Dovie Hall.  At 18, he entered the United States Air Force and spent the next 20 years serving his country retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1970.  He then built a home for his family with no formal construction training, and started his own successful custom home building business on Cedar Creek Lake near Dallas, Texas.  In 1994, he retired with his wife, Ino, to Evant, Texas where he began woodcraft projects in his workshop to keep himself busy.  He realized that he had a special interest and skill in making turned wooden bowls of all types of intricate designs.  Through the years, he donated hundreds of bowls to charity and fundraising events raising many thousands of dollars for worthy causes.  Also, he and his wife, Ino, along with some friends, renovated the old school house in Pearl, Texas where Ino had attended high school.  Blue grass musicians travel from all over the country to listen to music and play in the old Pearl school auditorium the first weekend of every month.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Ino, and his granddaughter, Rachel Perry.  He is survived by his daughter Vicky Clark and husband, James, of Bee House, Texas; sons Tracy Hall of Mabank, Texas; and Jon Hall and wife, Lisa, of College Station, Texas; eight grandchildren, Shaun Clark and wife, Traci, Ashley Abbe and husband, T.J., Sarah Stasny and husband, George, Alicia Hall, Emily Payne and husband, Andrew, Ami Pritchett and husband, Jeffrey, Noah Hall, and Jackson Hall; ten great-grandchildren, Madison Mills and husband, J.B., Jaymeson Clark, Cain Perry, Tommie Abbe, Hunter Abbe, Jane Stasny, Caroline Stasny, Boyd Stasny, Elizabeth Stasny, and Olivia Payne.
