Raymond George Gilmore

Raymond George Gilmore, age 71 of Whitney, Tx, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held May 21, 3PM at the Turnersville Community Center. Ray was born on December 18, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, to the late Ovide Lee Gilmore and Mary Gumbert-Jackson. Growing up his family lived mostly in the Central Texas area and later in life he made his home in Whitney, Tx. Ray was a carpenter most of his life. He could build just about anything. Ray enjoyed raising and riding horses and playing 42. He is survived by daughter, Belinda Sharples of Gatesville; son, Bruce Gilmore of Whitney, Tx and wife Amanda Gilmore; sister, Barbara Davis of Gatesville; sister, Sandra Jackson of New Port Richey, FL; sister, Mary Meschell of Dallas, Tx; sister Dianna Lynne of Gatesville; brother, Ovide Lee Gilmore, Jr of Gatesville; granddaughter Ariel Waters and wife Shyann; grandson, Austin Morgan and wife Tasha; grandson, Alex Morgan; granddaughter, Lena Gilmore; grandson, Gunner Gilmore; granddaughter, Brianna Ayers; granddaughter, Kelby Barnes and husband Caleb; grandson, Jacklee Melton; and 8 great grandchildren.
