Pheadora Rose Harrington

Pheadora Rose Harrington, of Flat, Texas, passed away February 14, 2026, surrounded by family. Memorial services will be held at a later date to honor her memory.

Pheadora was born to the late Richard Riley Shenaman and Reva Mae (Happy) VanHook on September 20, 1954, in Beaufort County, South Carolina. She spent most of her younger years in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Pheadora was married to John Harrington of Flat for 40 years before his passing in 2017. She was a homemaker and retired as a home health aide in 2020. She spent her life living for her family and her animals. She was hardly seen without one of her beloved creatures. She had a heart for all creatures, no matter the size. She devoted most of her life caring for all animals, including squirrels, raccoons, bulls, and dogs. She would bring home any animal she thought was in need.

Pheadora was preceded in death by her husband, John Harrington; son, Willis Westerman; granddaughter, Cheyenne Harrington; and sister, Patricia Tipton.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Henderson, and husband, Kenny, of Flat; son, Harlen Harrington, and wife, Elizabeth of Gatesville; sister, Mary Hitt of Gatesville; grandchildren Dustin Henderson and wife, Jenna of Gatesville, Tabitha Tippit and husband, Aaron of Flat, Kenny Henderson Jr., Stephanie Henderson, Trenton Harrington, Dakota Westerman, Shannon Westerman, Serenity Westerman, and Hope Westerman. She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
