Peggy “Blueberry” Westerfeld, age 97 of Crawford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Canaan Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Walters and Bro. Butch Duty officiating. Burial will follow at Canaan Baptist Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:30-6:30 pm immediately following the funeral in the church fellowship hall for those who cannot attend the service.

Peggy was born on October 16, 1924 in Barnum, Minnesota to the late Sherman & Hilma Lord. She graduated from Barnum High School and afterward she furthered her education in various fields. She worked several jobs in the U.S. and Japan before moving to Dallas where she met the love of her life, Clodius. They married on July 28, 1962 and raised three sons on a farm west of Crawford.

Peggy, known as “Grandma” for the last 29 years, was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her faith in Christ sustained her through the years and was extremely evident in these last few weeks.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clodius “Cowpoke” Westerfeld. She is survived by her three sons, Mark and wife, Katy, David and wife, Sharon, and Richard and wife, Rhonda; 18 grandchildren: Isaac, Faith, Peter, Stephen, Matthew, Michael, Andrew, Ruth, Joshua, Bethany, Nathan, Rebekah, Micah, Mary, Levi, Daniel, Elizabeth, and Julia; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous friends. She will be greatly missed.
