Nancy Fay Taylor

Nancy Taylor, age 61 of Gatesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Pastor Max Gunn officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Nancy Fay Taylor was born January 25, 1964 in Hamilton, Texas to the late Dale and Annie Cole Chaney. She grew up and attended school in Stephenville. On July 3, 1979, she married Danny Taylor and together they made their home in Stephenville and then Seminole, Texas before settling in Gatesville in 1992. She and Danny had three children, Melanie, Katherine, and Justin. Nancy was a devoted homemaker who found joy in caring for her family. She enjoyed traveling alongside her husband, being outdoors, tending to her animals, and lending a helping hand when needed. In more recent years, she took great pride in supporting and helping her daughter as she built a business here in Gatesville. Nancy was a member of Boots N Saddle Cowboy Church.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Saunders; and sister, Kim Allen.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Danny Taylor; children, Melanie Taylor, Katherine Taylor, Justin Taylor and wife Mary, and their daughter, Hailey Sutton; sister, Mary Chaney and husband, JJ; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
