Nancy Clark

Nancy Kay (Davis) Clark, age 63, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family, having fought a courageous battle with cancer for seven years.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Scott’s

Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Charles McKamie officiating.  Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, at the funeral home.

Nancy was born on August 18, 1960 to the late O.K. (Okie) and Bonnie Hamilton Davis, in Gatesville. Anyone that knew Nancy knew how much she adored her parents, and she was proud to be their daughter. She grew up and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1978.

Nancy met the love of her life, Gary Clark, in 2002. They were married on September 23, 2005 and made their home in Gatesville. She always called Gary one of her greatest blessings and truly a Godsent man.

Nancy dedicated 26 years working in the industrial industry. She served many customers in the Waco area, making many lifetime friends over the years. They weren’t just customers to Nancy, she cared for each of them and their children as if they were her own family. She worked as a Regional Account Manager for Partsmaster for many years and continued currently for Lawson Products all the way up to her final days.

In her earlier years, Nancy loved to ride horses and barrel racing. Nancy was a music connoisseur, to say she loved country music would be an understatement. She would travel all over the state to watch all her favorites, especially her love for Tracy Byrd. Nancy was known to many of her friends as the “Event Coordinator”. She achieved what she called her “Bucket List Moment,” by singing Cherokee Fiddle with Johnny Lee. But of course, anyone who knew her, knows her all-time favorite was her pride and joy Josh Evetts. She always teased Josh, that she would put him up to George Strait any day.

Nancy was a member of King Baptist Church and loved her church family.  She truly loved life, living it to the fullest and never took anything for granted. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy and kept her pushing through all the trials and tribulations she endured over her battle with cancer. She was truly a strong, faithful, beautiful soul, the rock to her family, and will greatly be missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O.K. (Okie) and Bonnie Davis.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Gary Clark; children, Josh Evetts and wife, Riley of

Gatesville, L.D. Clark and wife, Vanessa of Comanche; sisters, Jeanie Munoz and husband, Cecil, of Oglesby, Molly Oglesby of Gholson; grandchildren, Jackson Evetts, Keira Clark, Cash Evetts, and Jasper Evetts; nieces and nephews, Anna Ross and husband, Garrett, Jana Munoz, and Andrew Munoz; great niece and nephew, Ava and Parker Ross.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the King Baptist Church; c/o Charles McKamie at 601 CR 135, Gatesville, Texas 76528.

Nancy’s family would like to extend their gratitude to her doctors, Dr. Carl Chakmakjian, Dawn Turner, P.A. and all the nurses at Texas Oncology in Waco.
