Michael Wayne Pruitt

Michael Wayne Pruitt died unexpectedly December 20, 2019 in Dallas Texas two weeks before his 60^th birthday.  Funeral services will be held at the Turnersville Community Center at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019 with Bruce and Roger Waite officiating.

Mike was born January 4, 1960 in Tarrant County, Texas to J. F. Pruitt and Betty Jean Gallegly Pruitt.  He grew up and attended schools in Garland, Texas.  He joined and worked with his father in the residential home construction business as a young man.    In later years, he formed and operated a courier service in the Dallas/ Ft.Worth Metroplex.  He resided in Anna, Texas since1985.

Mike was predeceased by his only sibling, Donna Loraine Pruitt in 2010, his father, J. F. Pruitt in 2016 and his mother, Betty Pruitt in 2018.  His late grandparents, Wayne and Willie Lee Pruitt and Roy and Lottie Gallegly were long-time residents of Turnersville, Texas.

Mike is survived by his uncle, James Gallegly; his aunts, Fern Pruitt, Reba Pruitt Gartman and Wanda Pruitt Waite McClendon.  He is also survived by cousins, Charles Bratton, Sunny Gail Gilmore, Khris Gilmore Starr, Billy Jeffrey Pruitt, Tammy Pruitt Russell, Suzanne Pruitt Kettler, Bruce Waite, Annette Waite Rose, Roger Pruitt Waite, Melanie Waite Mackanic, Beverly Gartman Ward, Valorie Gartman Grimes, Wayne Gartman, and Amy Gartman Edwards. All of Michael's cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
