Melody Rena' Clark Williams

Melody Rena’ Clark Williams, age 67 of Gatesville, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in Forney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8 at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Rena’ was born on September 28, 1957, in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Archie Sims and Earlene Clark Sims. At an early age she moved to Gatesville, where she attended school. Rena’ attended Paul Quinn College in Waco for three years. Rena’ was employed with Gatesville I.S.D. working in food service for 27 happy and fulfilling years. She loved working with her coworkers and students over the years.

Rena’ loved her children and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed bonding with her son, John, while watching sports and singing and praying with her daughter, Shrecka. Rena’ was the oldest of seven children whom she loved spending time with and talking with over the phone. Rena’ also enjoyed spending time with her mother sitting on the porch having fun conversations.

Rena’ is preceded in death by her father, Archie Sims; daughter, Sennica Clark; grandmother, Ethel Clarke; sister, Deborah Manning; and brother, Stanley Sims.

She is survived by her mother, Earlene Clark Sims; her children, Shrecka K. Campbell, and husband, Stephen and John W. Williams, III; granddaughter, Olivia Williams; sisters, Stephanie Sims, Gail Rockwell, Angela Crooms and Keisha Sims; and a host of nieces and nephews.
