Matt Key

Steven Matthew Key, age 28 of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home, with Pastor Wray Nunn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.

Matt was born on November 20, 1990 in Temple.  He graduated from Gatesville High School in 2009 and was a self-employed.  He loved spending time with his children, family and friends. His favorite team to watch was the Texas Longhorns and he loved “burnt orange”.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Holden; father, Curtis Key; sons, Kannon Key and William Key; fiancé, Courtney Smith; brother, Corey Key and wife, Codie; sisters, Scout Key and Gracie Key; grandparents, Jo Ruth Holden and Donna Gummelt; nieces, Kyanne Key and Kambree Key.
