Mary Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Moore Johnson, age 78 of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Waco.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Grace Assembly Christian Church, 2315 Osage Road in Gatesville, with Pastor Wray Nunn officiating.  Visitation with Mary Ann’s family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4^th at Scott’s Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mary Ann was born on August 6, 1943 in Gatesville, to the late George Williams and Ruby Kelly Williams.  She grew up and went to school in Gatesville.  She worked as a C.N.A. at Osage Care Center and Hillside Nursing Home until her retirement.  She married Eddie Johnson on May 15, 1988.  She was a member of Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie Johnson on February 15, 2022; brothers, Troy Glenn, Lacy Williams, Hershel Williams, Donald Williams, Francis Williams, Bobby Ray Williams; sister, Ruby Williams; grandsons, Dominique, Roche, Dylan, Rayne, Jordan and Sorya Moore.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Dianna Smith, Benny Moore, Kenny Moore and wife, Cynthia, James (J.J.) Moore, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Tina Hines, James Glenn Moore; sister, Dorothy Norman; and seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
