Mary (Jean) Virginia Boyd

Mary (Jean) Boyd, age 85, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 in Gatesville. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, April 12, 2021 at Restland Cemetery. Mary was born September 27, 1935 in Dekalb, Texas. She was the daughter of the late William Ellis Bobbitt and Mary Cleo Baker Bobbitt. She attended school in New Boston, Texas graduating in 1952. She and her husband owned and operated House of Flowers florist for many years. She married Bob Boyd and they were married 56 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Bobbitt; brother, Roy Bobbitt and wife Judy and In-Laws, James and Edna Boyd Survivors include, husband, Bob Boyd; daughters, Karen Lynn Ibrahim and husband Said and Stephanie Diane Semmel and husband Tracy; sister; Juanita Mullin; brother, J. T. Bobbitt and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Sara Omar and husband Nedal, Sami Ibrahim, Suzanne Ibrahim and husband Bryan Holt, Laith Ibrahim and Travis Boyd Semmel; and two great grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff of Hillside Medical Lodge and Amedisys Hospice for all their care and support.
