Martha Louise Edwards

Martha Edwards, age 73, of Gatesville, passed away at her residence on January 11, 2021. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Martha was born August 7, 1947 in Vandalia, Ohio to the late James William Cockerham and Myrtle L. Roush Cockerham. She married Jack Palmer on August 14, 1967, he preceded her in death on June 15, 1998. Martha married Jodie Edwards on October 25, 2003, he preceded her in death on July 31, 2015. Martha began her career as a hair dresser on Ft. Hood, Texas. She ended her more than 30 year career in her own salon in Gatesville. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. Martha loved to crochet, quilt and arrowhead hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; James, Daniel and David Cockerham. Martha is survived by daughters: Jacquelyn Boyet and husband Jeff and Janet High, sister: Sarah Lynch and husband Rick, Sister-in-law: Teresa Cockerham, brother: John Cockerham and wife Darla, grandchildren: Teresa High and Jackie High and numerous nieces and nephews.
