Marrie James Collins, Jr.

James (Dink) Collins, age 71 of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Waco.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, with Rev. Bruce Cox officiating.

Marrie James (Dink) Collins, Jr. was born on September 17, 1950 in Winters, Texas.  He was the son of the late Marrie James Collins, Sr. and Eda Perkins Collins.  He grew up in Gatesville and later married Alice McDaniel Perkins in 1984.  He formerly worked for Trinity, Inc. in Cleburne and for the City of Gatesville.  He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jackie; infant brother, Jeff Collins; sister, Mary Lou Stevens.

Dink is survived by his wife, Alice Fay Collins; children, Beulah Waller and husband, Gary, Tina Pendleton, Alford Ray Perkins, Jr.; brothers, Mike Collins and wife Brenda, William Collins and wife, Delnor, Russell Collins and wife, Sheila; Janet Mitchell and husband, Jerry; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
