Mark Wayne Sims

Mark Wayne Sims, age 61 of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at his home after a brief illness. 

Mark was born on June 18, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Jack and Helen Ephram Sims. In 1982, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his Country until his retirement in 2005. He married Joyce Price in 1983 and because of his military career, they took up residency in Kentucky and Germany before settling down in Gatesville. Mark enjoyed watching horror movies and working on old cars during his spare time.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; sons, Terry D. Price, Bradley A. Sims, and Charles R. Sims; grandchildren, Jake N. Price, Eowyn L. Price, Jaimie O. Price, and Bryden J. Roy-Sims; and sister, Dawn Karl and husband, Ray.
