Marion "Doyce" Childre

Marion Doyce Childre, age 82 of Gatesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Doyce was born on November 6, 1943 in Odessa, Texas to the late Marshall and Bessie Kincheloe Childre. He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Europe. He received an honorable discharge in 1968. Following his military service, he worked as a salesman for Tranum Ford in Gatesville. On July 28, 2003, he married Linda Gaskill and together they made their home in Gatesville.

Doyce enjoyed playing pool with friends and working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Childre; daughter, Shereen Santiago; brother, Roger Childre; and sister, Marzelle Hendricks.

Doyce is survived by his wife of 23 years, Linda Childre; children, Summer Childre, Andrew Childre and wife Anna, Laurinda Angermeier, and Jason McClard; and grandchildren, Love and Malachi.
