Marie Craft

Marie Craft, age 79 of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Monty Van Horn officiating.

Marie Elaine Craft was born on April 19, 1944 in Ponoma, California.  She was the daughter of the late Herschel L. and Epsie Dorothy Cawthon Cooper.  She married Dennis E. Craft, Sr. on February 17, 1962 in Chino, California.  They resided in Rainier, Oregon, where she was a bus driver for 22 years for the Rainier Senior Center.  They moved to Gatesville in 2001.  She was a member of Highway to Heaven Biker Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Earl Craft, Jr.; and two brothers.

Marie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dennis Craft, Sr.; son, Thomas Craft and wife, Donna; daughter, Tina Barney and husband, Clint; daughter-in-law, Lori Craft; sister, Linda Crawford and husband, Eldon; grandchildren, Matthew Craft, Nicole Caseday, Crystal Barney, Alicia Barney, Rebecca Barney, Kristina Craft, Kyra Craft, Anthony Childers; and 11 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Highway to Heaven Biker Church, 1608 West Main Street, Gatesville, Texas, 76528.
