Lora Kay Russell, 37, of Crawford, passed away at home on September 2, 2026. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16 at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Coryell City.

Lora Kay was born in Clifton, Texas on April 3, 1989, to Michael and Denise Neuman Henson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church.

In 2005, she met her future husband, Ross Russell. She attended school in Crawford and graduated in 2007. Lora Kay went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University and her master’s degree from Texas Tech University. She was a special education teacher and diagnostician for several years.

Lora Kay and Ross were married on March 23, 2018. They welcomed two children, Delia Belle in 2018 and Shane Michael in 2021.

Lora Kay was a lifelong resident of the Prairie Chapel Community. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Lora Kay is survived by her husband, Ross; children, Delia Belle and Shane Michael; parents, Michael and Denise Henson; brother, Justin Henson and wife, Tabitha; sister, Amanda Henson; niece, Shelby Lee; grandmother, Jeanetta Neuman; uncle, Mark Neuman; mother-in-law, Valerie Adamek and husband, Paul; father-in-law, David Russell; as well as numerous cousins, family members and friends.
