Lonny Luanne Dossey

Lonny Luanne Dossey, age 69, passed away on May 31, 2026. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Lonny was born in Gatesville, Texas on August 2, 1956, to the late Lonnie E. Dossey and Norma Y. Nichols. Lonnie was a long-haul truck driver until she became ill and could no longer work. She was an animal lover who never met a cat or dog she didn’t take care of or befriend. She was a very giving person, always giving gifts to family members.

Lonny is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind two daughters, Davinda Shelton Restivo from Houston, Texas, and Angela Simons from Center Point, Texas; three grandsons, Steven Cochran, James Dale Holland, and Dakota Schmidt; two great grandchildren, Emmaleigh and J.D. Jr. Holland; sisters, Vickie Davis and husband Jim of Huntsville and Dez Langston and husband Kirk of Gatesville; brothers, Lonnie Dossey from Huntsville, and Ronnie Dossey and wife, Melinda from Oglesby.
