Lisa Wilkins Holder

Lisa Ann Wilkins Holder, age 61 of Gatesville, was called home to be with her husband on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

She was born on July 15, 1964, to the late Williman Leavell and Mary Wilkins in Gatesville, Texas. Lisa attended Gatesville High School and later continued her education at Mary Hardin-Baylor University, where she pursued her dream of becoming a registered nurse. She later earned a master’s degree from the University of Alabama.

Lisa loved people, and caring for others was truly her calling. She found joy and purpose in tending to each of her patients, including her late husband, Ralph Holder III. Outside of work, she enjoyed watching football—especially her beloved Dallas Cowboys—and everyone who knew her understood that game time was sacred. Her greatest joy in life was her grandbabies, whom she loved beyond measure. She also shared a special and deep bond with her son, Joshua. Lisa treasured time spent at the lake, at family cookouts, and visiting with family.

Lisa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Holder III, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Joshua Wilkins and his wife, Amanda; her grandchildren, Simon, Lucas, Mason, River, and Norah; as well as many extended family members and friends who will always cherish her memory.
