Linda R. Warren

Linda Rae Warren, age 80 of Gatesville, passed away on the afternoon of November 25, 2020.  The family will hold a graveside memorial service at a later date.

Linda Rae Young Warren was born in Sanger, California on May 29, 1940, the third child of the late George Myron and Eula May Able Young.  She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California.  While still in high school, she went to Cosmetology school and obtained her license.  She worked as a cosmetologist until she met the love of her life, Jimmy Warren, on a blind date and they were married. They celebrated over 45 years together before his passing in February 2005.

Linda was a homemaker, always taking care of her boys and granddaughter.  She worked for a period of time at Medical Plastics Laboratory once her boys were in school.  She loved to paint and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.  Linda was a Christian and proud of her faith.  She could often be found sitting and reading her Bible.  She was a good listener and friend to all.  She was able to give advice without you even knowing you needed it. 

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Warren; her parents; sister, Alexa Childers; and brothers, Steven and James Young.

Linda is survived by her sons, Jeff Warren and wife, Christy of Katy, Texas; Brian Warren and wife, Brandy of Gatesville, Texas; grandchildren Jennifer Warren and Dana Palmer, Zachary Warren, Reed Warren, and Kirstin Poston; great-grandchildren Dax and Van Palmer; brother, Larry Young and wife, Vicki of Port Orford, Oregon; as well as other loving family members and friends.
