Kathy Lynn Oechsle

Kathy Oechsle, age 56, of Gatesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Scott’s Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Crosby officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Kathy Lynn Oechsle was born August 26, 1968, in Gatesville, Texas, to David Saxon and Rose Stubblefield. On July 4, 2001, she married Edward Oechsle and they made their life in Gatesville, raising two sons and two daughters. Her life was centered around her family, never missing a ballgame, concert or cheer competition, but of all her many titles her favorite was Nonna. She loved her grandchildren fiercely. Kathy had a passion for her craft, doing hair, and any client that passed through her chair was a new friend.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, David Saxon; dad, Sonny Stubblefield; nephew, Michael Lakin; niece, Lindsay Lakin; uncles, Johnny Saxon and Bobby Saxon; and aunt, Adalee Starliper.

She is survived by her mother, Rose Stubblefield; husband, Edward Oechsle; daughters, Chelan Wade and husband, Spencer, and Kerri Hudson and husband, Zachary; sons, Jason Oechsle and wife, Devon, and Erich Oechsle and wife, Micah; grandchildren, Colt Wade, Eliana Oechsle, Noah Oechsle, and Tyler Wade; brothers and sisters, Susan White, Rosie Saxon, Janet Saxon, Lisa Groves, Little Lisa Bargel, Earnest Stubblefield, John Stubblefield, and Bobby Stubblefield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
