Kathy Nowlin-Speck

Kathy Nowlin-Speck, age 64 of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 in Temple.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Monty VanHorn officiating.

Kathy was born on February 6, 1957 in Ft. Worth, to the late Gilbert and Aretta O’Mara Nowlin.  She grew up in Texas and moved to California, while raising her family.  She moved to Gatesville in 2006.  She enjoyed fishing, arts & crafts and Scrabble.  Kathy’s number one joy in life, was her Yorkie, “Princess”.  She attended Highway 2 Heaven Biker Church in Gatesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Nowlin.

Kathy is survived by her children, Candice Canterbury, Matthew Speck and wife, Seana, Aretta Speck; brother, Steven Nowlin; sister, Patty McGowan and husband, James; and several grandchildren.
