Joey Gregg Russell

Joey Gregg Russell, age 63 of Woodway, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Joey was born on March 26, 1962 to the late James David and Wanda Faubion Russell in Gatesville, Texas. He graduated from Midway High School in 1980 and later from Texas State University. He was also a graduate from underwater robotics school. Joey enjoyed playing the guitar, golfing, cycling and photography. He was a loving brother who cared deeply for his family.

Joey was preceded in death by his parents, both of Waco. He is survived by his brothers, David Russell and wife, Sharon of Dripping Springs, and James (Jim) Russell of Waco; niece, Taralah Hennington and husband, Eric, and their children Henry, Woods, and Sam of Dallas; and many wonderful loving cousins.
