Jim Kirchmeier

Jim Kirchmeier age 71 of Gatesville passed away on Friday, July 31st, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 11am Tuesday, August 4th at Restland Cemetery with Bruce Cox officiating. Jim was born on March 16th, 1949 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to the late Ervin and Ernestine Kirchmeier. He married the love of his life Louise Cooley in 1969. He was then called to serve in the Vietnam war from 1969 to 1971. He and his family moved to Gatesville in 1978 where he worked as a mechanic up until he retired in 2008. He enjoyed mud racing, tinkering in his shop and was always willing to help anyone at a moments notice. He was preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Ernestine Kirchmeier. Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Louise Kirchmeier, daughters, Cindy Lowry and husband Andy, Lisa Stalnecker and husband Tim; son, Brent Kirchmeier and wife Holly; sister, Carol Stephens; grandchildren, Megan Clary-Haferkamp, Clifton Clary, Caden Clary, Logan Lowry, Kelsey Scruggs, Carolann Stalnecker, Brookelyn Kirchmeier; five great-grandchildren and many good friends. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Stalnecker, Andy Lowry, Kent Bannister, Jimbo Stephens, Casey Ayers and George Tatum.
