Jessie Opal Bales

Jessie Opal Bales, age 95, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby.Jessie was born on December 16, 1922 in Brownwood, Texas to Paul Brumbalow and Rose Evetts Brumbalow.  She attended school in Gatesville before marrying Clarence Edwin Bales in 1941. Jessie worked for Medical Plastics Lab, which is now Laerdal, in Gatesville for 30 years. After they retired, they loved to travel and enjoyed exploring new places.She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clarence Edwin Bales, in 2003; and sister, Rose Mary Jackson.Jessie is survived by her sons, Charles Edwin Bales and wife, Sally and Michael Paul Bales and wife, Connie; sisters, Pauline Jones, Peggy Fieseler, and Reba Harton; brother, Glenn Brumbalow; grandchildren, Lauren Bales, Jason Bales, Chandra Bales; and four great-grandchildren.
