Born on May 27, 1945, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jerome lived a life grounded in service, love, and steadfast devotion to God and family.
A proud veteran, Jerome served honorably in the United States Army from October 1965 to December 1989, dedicating nearly twenty-five years to the service of his country. After retiring from the military, he continued his life of service through a seventeen-year career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Food Service Manager. His leadership and compassion left lasting impressions on those who worked alongside him.

His faith guided every part of his life, and his gentle wisdom touched all who knew him. In his quiet moments, he found peace in fishing, cooking, and sharing stories that brought laughter and comfort to family and friends alike.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Sarah Lee Roebuck and Earl Wilkins, and by brothers, Otis, Terry, and Freddy. He is survived by his devoted wife, Beverley Joyce Wilkins, and his siblings: Glenda, Gertrude, Theresa, Mary, Lester “B.B.”, Jerry, Roy, Willie Earl, and Kenneth.
