Jeanne Mitchell

Jeanne Lovell Mitchell, beloved mother and sister, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 78.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 2, 2025 at King Cemetery, located at 6730 FM 1783, Gatesville, Texas 76528.

Jeanne was born on November 24, 1946, in Big Lake, Texas, to James Thomas and Ida Mae Lovell. She grew up in Gatesville and attended school there before pursuing her nursing degree in Waco. On September 19, 1971, she married Roger Mitchell. She was a passionate reader, and cherished every moment spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger and her parents. Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Carolee Mitchell of Austin; her son, Charles Mitchell of Gatesville; her brother, Ashley Lovell and his wife, Patsy, of Stephenville; and her sister, Teresa Zeptner and her husband, Owen, of Hamilton.
