J. W. Featherston

J.W. Featherston, age 38, of Gatesville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in Midland

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 at Coryell Community Church, 115 N. Levita Rd., in Gatesville, with Rev. Wayne Conger officiating.

James William Featherston Jr. was born on July 15, 1984, to James and Jackie Featherston in Sulphur Springs. J.W. attended Jonesboro High School, graduating in 2002. He worked alongside his dad at Featherston’s Wrecker Service, as a mechanic and wrecker driver for many years. He married Brandy Byrd on April 16, 2016.  He was known for his caring heart, helping others, and stubborn personality.  You could always depend on him for giving you a hard time and a great laugh.

J.W. was preceded in death by his father, James Featherston Sr.; grandparents, Rev. J.B. and Mary Helen Featherston, Jack and Vera Aslin; and sister, Dana.

J.W. is survived by his wife Brandy Featherston; sons, Blane, Levi, Jameson, and Jace; mother, Jackie Featherston; sisters, Tricia Featherston, Carrie Perez and husband, Tony; granddaughter, Oaklynn; many nieces and nephews; along with his closest friends.

In lieu of flowers, an account for the family has been established at BancorpSouth in Gatesville.
