Inez Lee

Inez Lee, age 89 of Gatesville, went on to be with her heavenly family on July 19, 2019.

Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home, followed by graveside services at 1:00 p.m. at Restland Cemetery.

Inez was born on January 18, 1930 in Alma, TX to the late Edward “Shorty” Summers and Beulah Mae Taylor Summers.   She grew up and went to school in west Texas, in the town of O’Donnell.  She married Clarence Ray Lee on March 21, 1949.  They spent 28 years together, before he preceded her in death in September of 1977.  She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse for over 60 years.  She was a member of the Gatesville Church of Christ since 1946.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lynn Lee in 1954; daughters, Rebecca Mae in 1956 and Janet Ruth Lee in 1963; siblings, Lorene Engle, Louise Altum, Jodie Summers, Donald Wayne Summers, Patricia Ann Schubert Singleton, and Vada Mae Fleming.

Inez is survived by her son, James Lee and wife, Kay; grandson, Cody Lee and wife, Lee; great-grandchildren, Rodie Owen and Leddy Rose Lee; sister, Wynell Tyler; brother, Eddie Summers; and many nieces and nephews.
