Gretchen Connell Patton

Gretchen Connell Patton, age 79 of Purmela, passed away on May 3, 2024, in Temple.

Gretchen was born on October 30, 1944, to the late Alan and Ann Connell. Gretchen grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1962. Gretchen attended Texas Christian University and was an art major. She married Thomas J. Patton in 1966 and they made their home in Dallas. In 1979, Thomas and Gretchen purchased land in Purmela, Texas and started spending time there before making it their full-time residence. Gretchen devoted her time to their place in Purmela where she loved to plant flowers and trees. 

Gretchen was preceded in death by her parents and one sibling.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas and three siblings; Brett Meekins, Gail Dyess, and Alason Connell.
