Gerardo Tinoco

Gerardo Tinoco, age 60 of Gatesville, passed away on the evening of August 19, 2021 in Temple.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hemmeline cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 – 7 pm Tuesday, at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Gerardo was born on July 15, 1961 in Michoacán, Mexico to Juan Tinoco and Carolina Fernandez Tinoco. He grew up and attended school in Michoacán. Gerardo was a very hard-working man who loved his family very much. He was an incredibly generous man who always took great joy in sharing all he had. He instilled these same values to his children and his grandchildren. The grandchildren just like his kids could always count on grandpa showing up with bags filled with snacks. He always had so much love for them. He loved His God, The Lord Jesus very much, and his most favorite Hymn was, “How Great Thou Art”. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is preceded in death by his son, Jesus Tinoco. 

Gerardo is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bertha; daughters; Yessi Argabright and husband, Alex, Wendy Sanchez and husband, Michael; son, Gerardo Junior Tinoco; grandchildren, Abby, Isaac, Jacob, Priscilla, Willow and Madelyn.
