Gary Lee Hallonquist

Gary Lee Hallonquist, age 69, of Oglesby, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 28, 2024 at the Garrett and Mic Hill Event center in Morgan's Point Resort, Texas.

Gary was born October 14, 1954, to the late Lee and Alberta Seibel Hallonquist in Galveston, Texas.  He grew up and attended school in Temple, graduating from Temple High School in 1973.  For most of his life, he worked in manufacturing as a machinist.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman with a passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He thoroughly enjoyed catfishing and expanding his knowledge of techniques on how to catch them. He also greatly enjoyed fishing the Texas coast, watching sports and barbequing with his family. Gary had a heart full of generosity and took great pride in being a father to his son.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Justin Hallonquist and wife, Lindsey; sister, Deborah Popelka and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Carson and Parker Hallonquist.
