Fred Leroy McGee

Fred Leroy McGee passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Gatesville.

 Fred was born on January 14, 1945, in Oregon to the late Clarence Valentine and Martha Cory McGee. Fred grew up in California and graduated from South Fork High School in Meranda, California. He married Izetta White McGee in 1994 and they made their home in California. Fred worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years. Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to Texas to be closer to family. Fred hunted in his younger years and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Kyle McGee.

He is survived by his wife, Izetta McGee; children, Matt McGee, Lesa Mason, Ali McGee, Dillie McGee, Robin Hitt, Jon Lareau, Robert Lake, Heather Rawlings, Melissa Forward and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
