Eloise Schraeder, age 90, of Gatesville passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church in Coryell City, with Pastor Christopher Richmann officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday April 19, 2021 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Eloise Schraeder was born on March 10, 1931 in Coryell County, Texas to Henry and Ella Struempler. She was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church. She grew up in Coryell City, and married the love of her life, Eddie Schraeder in January, 1948. To this union were born two daughters, Kathie Schraeder Shaw and Karen Schraeder Stanford; four grandchildren, Kelli Shaw, Justin Stanford (Mandy), Alisha Stanford Honey, and Jared Stanford (Julia); and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ella Struempler; husband, Eddie Schraeder; sister, Viola Buth; brother and sister-in-law, Vyron and Arnell Struempler; and nephew, Dennis Struempler. Eloise worked as a supervisor at Walls Manufacturing for 25 years. After retirement from Walls, she worked with her niece Barbera Huckabee for Books Are Fun promoting and distributing books to area public schools. Her hobbies included flower gardening, cake decorating, sewing, crocheting, cooking and various other arts and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as her extended family.
