Edward “Edreaux” B. Barnes

Edward Barnes, age 60 of Gatesville, passed away on the evening of October 9, 2019, surrounded by his family. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Restland Cemetery.

Edward was born on May 30, 1959 in Madera, CA, to Marie Griffin Mello and the late Buel Barnes. He grew up and attended school in Hanford. At the age of 20, Edward joined the United States Army. He served almost three years before being honorably discharged. Edward was a disabled veteran and made the best out of every situation. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing.  Edward loved his family and will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Edward is survived by his wife, Rebekah Wright Barnes; daughters, Maderia Raymond and Mary Shanks; mother, Marie Mello; sister, Laura Vaz; and brothers, Ronald and Terry Barnes.
