Doris Neatherlin

Doris Neatherlin, age 86 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Brandy Spiker officiating.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Private interment will be at Flint Creek Cemetery.  For those unable to attend Mrs. Neatherlin’s services will be livestreamed at the link below her obituary at www.scottsfh.com.

Doris June Neatherlin was born on March 11, 1936 in the Leon Junction community of Coryell County, to the late Ewel and Johnnie Norman Jones.  She grew up and went to school in Leon Junction.  She married F.L. (Sonny) Neatherlin in 1986 and they made their home near Gatesville.  She worked as a nurse aide at Hillside Manor Nursing Home for many years.  She was a member of Cover 2 Cover Ministries Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Neatherlin; children, Aubrey Reid, Don Neatherlin, Jeanice Ingram.

Doris is survived by her children, Stephen Reid; Jodi Neatherlin; grandchildren, Breanay Reid and Brett Reid and many nieces and nephews.
