Donna Fisk

Donna Fisk, age 59 of Gatesville, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Pastor Wray Nunn officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. 

Donna Jeanne Fisk was born September 3, 1965 to the late John and Theresa Magdeline Gamble in East St. Louis, Illinois. She moved to Gatesville with her family at a young age. She attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1984. She worked for a short time as a nurse’s aid at Canterbury Villa Nursing Home before going to work for Gatesville Independent School District in food services. She retired on May 31, 2024 with 30 years of service. She married Wesley Fisk on September 20, 2010 and the two made their home in Gatesville. Donna loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren. She was a collector of blown glass, enjoyed fishing, watching her daily television shows, and traveling with family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Floyd Perkins; and brothers, John and Clint Gamble. 

Donna is survived by her husband of 14 years, Wesley Fisk; daughter, Shelby Joyce; brother, Mark Vornkahl; sister-in-law, Loraine Watson; grandchildren, Zachary Rodriquez, Dante Perkins, and Kayden Perkins; and several nieces and nephews.
