Debra Hicks

Debra Hicks, age 60 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Waco.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Gatesville.  The Rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.

Debra was born on December 7, 1961 in Mission, Texas to the late Earl Jack and Pauline Gemkow McCall.  She grew up in Mission and graduated from Mission High School in 1980.  She married Edward Hicks on July14, 1980.  Her husband served in the Air Force, which stationed them in several states throughout his career.  After his retirement, they moved to Gatesville in 2005.  She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Jack McCall, II.

Debra is survived by her husband, Ed Hicks; son, Jeffrey Hicks and wife, Lucinda; daughters, Samantha Hicks and Elizabeth Hicks; six grandchildren, Chancie Hicks, Benjamin Hicks, Harmony Evans, Ryby Stone, Nona Hicks and Samuel Hicks.
