Deborah Kay Manning

Deborah K. Manning, age 59, of Gatesville passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home with burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the funeral home.

Deborah was born on January 11, 1960 in Monroe, LA to Archie and Earlene Clarke Sims. She was raised in Oakland, CA and attended school at Oakland Tech High School. In 1978, she moved to Texas to be closer to family. Deborah retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years. She enjoyed her retirement and helping raise her grandchildren. Deborah loved to cook and looked forward to family gatherings.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Archie Sims; siblings, Sharon Anderson, Earlene Anderson, Betty Jackson

Deborah is survived by her children, Aisha Jones and husband, Jarvis, Naomi Delong, Joe Manning Jr.; mothers, Earlene Sims and Florence Humphrey; two grandchildren, Erykah Delong and Jason Delong Jr.; siblings, Renee Clarke, Stephanie Sims, Stanley Sims, Gail Rockwell, Angela Crooms, Keisha Sims, Ramona Anderson, Helen Evans, Eugene Anderson, and Douglas Anderson; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
