Darrell (Benny) Edward Benson

Darrell Edward (Benny) Benson, age 92, of Levita, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Gatesville, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, December 27, 2021 at Coffey Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home. Darrell was born, February 6, 1929 in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was the son of the late James Fredrick Benson and Zelma Irene Long Benson. Darrell married Juanita Graves on January 6, 1951. He was a member of the US army, retiring in 1968. Darrell worked at Lawns of Beauty in San Antonio as an assistant manager. He also worked as a truck driver before his final retirement. Darrell loved his pets and two of his favorites were Bonnie and Gunner. He also like watching westerns on television. He was preceded in death by his wife; Juanita and son; Eddie Benson. He is survived by his son, Johnny Benson and wife Vicki; sister, Barbara Huffaker and husband Richard; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
